It is interesting to note how Sunway-TES commenced – Upon graduating in UK, Mr Teo Ee Sing (Executive Director of Sunway-TES) embarked on his career in UK for a short period and subsequently returned to Malaysia and joined Pricewaterhouse (PW) (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1991. Thereafter, Mr Teo left PW to join the education industry and introduced ACCA programmes in Malaysia and Singapore, primarily through the establishment of Emile Woolf branches in Malaysia and Singapore. In 1994, Mr Teo partnered with Sunway College (then) to incorporate Sunway-TES Sdn Bhd offering internationally renowned professional accounting programs i.e. Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Certified Accounting Technician (CAT).
In recognition of the consistently high qualities and standards of Sunway TES as an ACCA tuition provider, the ACCA (United Kingdom) awarded it the highest level of recognition, the Premier Plus Status to Sunway University College in 2003, the First of such an award in the world outside of the European continent! This achievement was subsequently further improved in September 2007 when Sunway-TES became one of the first institutions in Malaysia to be awarded Approved Learning Partner – Student Tuition, Platinum Status and they have retained it ever since.
